Wind Surfing
The North Western coastal belts are studded with fine palm fringed sheltered tropical beaches. The flat waters of the Kalpitiya Lagoon and the consistent wind from the sea are the best conditions to wind surf as if the bay beaches would not do are also enriched with lagoons enhancing the opportunities for the amateurs to enjoy in water sports. The main tourist season of Sri Lanka is during the period of November to April. During this period the lovely beaches of the Kalpitiya Lagoon Peninsula are bustling with activity.
